Campbeltown Museum

Campbeltown Museum is one of the few museums still open in Argyll & the Isles. It tells the story of Kintyre through its collection of archaeology, fine art, natural sciences, and social history. Amongst its many highlights you can view a Bronze Age jet necklace, paintings by William McTaggart and Samuel Peploe as well as a reflector from the Mull of Kintyre lighthouse. The museum is currently developing it's displays, artwork and content and is definitely worth a visit.
There is also a sheltered inner garden, which has been redesigned and dedicated to the memory of Linda McCartney, a statue of whom forms the centrepiece.
