West Kintyre

West Kintyre boasts the dramatic Atlantic coastline with views over to Jura, Islay and even the Antrim coast on a clear day. The west coast provides the most amazing sunsets and beach trips, whatever the weather. The world famous Westport Beach is a popular destination for adventurous surfing!

The ferry from Tayinloan will take you to the stunning Isle of Gigha which is an absolute must-visit when you are in this part of the world. You can stop for a coffee while you wait for the Gigha ferry at the legendary Big Jessie’s Tea Room. As you amble down the west side, pop into the fabulous Muasdale Store or extend your stay on the west coast by staying in the Argyll Hotel at Bellochantuy.
