Campbeltown Picture House

26 Hall Street, Campbeltown, Argyll, PA28 6BU

Campbeltown Picture House, designed by Albert V Gardner in 1913 in the Art Nouveau style.  This Grade A Listed building is one of the earliest surviving purpose-built cinemas in the UK. The building is unique, with a Glasgow school art nouveau exterior and an equally impressive and unusual ‘atmospheric style’ interior.  Having undergone refurbishment and restoration CPH reopened in 2017 and is now operating as a community cinema.  The two screens show a mixture of the latest films alongside classics and festivals.  The licenced kiosk and café provide snacks, home baking and drinks.
