Carradale Bay

Carradale Bay is a charming, sandy beach that faces south into a small bay, separated from Kilbrannan Sound by Carradale Point headland. The beach offers excellent views of the surrounding mountainous countryside of the Kintyre Peninsular and the Isle of Arran. At low tide a vast expanse of sand is revealed, although the beach is mostly covered when the tide comes in.
At the western end of the beach is the mouth of the River Carradale, next to a holiday park that overlooks the beach. The river is popular in the summer months for salmon and trout fishing. At the eastern end of the beach, a small stream flows over the beach into the bay.
